Living Over The Shops

To further support the vitality of the Gainsborough town centre and the other town centre place making programmes, the Council is launching a grant scheme which will incentivise freeholders/ long leaseholders to create or reinstate residential dwellings within the town centre.  Presence of residential uses within town centres is important to its vitality and vibrancy, as it increases the footfall within the town centre, especially outside of core shopping hours.

West Lindsey District Council Levelling-Up Fund is providing grants for the scheme, leading to the creation residential dwellings within the following Town Centre locations:

  • Lord Street
  • Market Place
  • Market Street
  • North Street
  • Silver Street

For details of the scheme and eligibility criteria please download the expression of interest/application pack from the West Lindsey website
