Whitton Garden’s Improvements

As part of the Levelling Up Fund Thriving Gainsborough Programme, improvements are being made to Whitton Gardens.

The work will include:

  • Tree works
  • Shrubbery removal
  • Installation of outdoor chess table
  • Footpath improvements
  • Painting and decorating
  • Planting.

The WC conversion has been approved by WLDC’s planning committee (application number 147511) on 28 February 2024. There will be a lead time for procurement of these works before construction, which will happen outside of this nine week window. We aim to keep the park open for the majority of the summer for our residents to enjoy.
